A good traditional French restaurant you can try, we ordered Duck breast with honey and grilled Cod fish, Colin fish. We like the inelegance of the foods and the vibe they brought us. I personally love the big Escargots very tasty when using with baguette , Tart Tatin is exceptional

Service is great, cheerful and punctual. Food is great. I like the onion soup. Beef stew is tender and the burgundy sauce is great. Seafood trio includes salmon, cod and scallops with a butter sauce which is great with the risotto.

Bar des Varietes is a small restaurant that serves typical French cuisine and is located in Passage des Panoramas. We came here on the recommendation of a friend of ours who lives here in Paris, because she highly recommended it. We loved the hamburger with fois grais accompanied by fries and a really good sauce (we asked if they could bring us more). We also enjoyed the onion soup as an appetiser, also good. If we return to Paris, we will definitely eat here again!

I came, I saw, I ate… and now regular food just isn’t good enough anymore. Started with snails—because when in France, you eat fancy garden dwellers. They were buttery, garlicky, and so good I briefly considered becoming a snail enthusiast. Then came the beef tartare, and wow. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully plated, and so fresh I half expected the cow to introduce itself. Every bite was a reminder that I should never attempt to make this at home. Finished with a crème brûlée that was so perfectly caramelized, I almost applauded. Crackly top, creamy inside—chef’s kiss. The atmosphere? Peak Parisian charm. The service? So good I felt like a VIP. The only downside? I’ll never look at my own cooking the same way again. Bar des Variétés, you’ve set the bar too high. See you next time!

We were looking for a traditional French restaurant with a nice set menu that would allow us to experience a variety of different foods. We were warmly welcomed & invited in by one of the regular patrons! The bar manager was not only welcoming, but incredibly helpful. The food was awesome, and the four of us shared 4 2-course set meals that provided new taste experiences. The beef stew was succulent and the blue cheese burger was amazing! The cocktails were great too. Truly a memorable family meal in Paris!

This cozy place locates in Passage des Panoramas. My favorites are duck confit and crème brulée. I love the cheesecake as well. Update: The original comment above reflects my visit in May 2024. The following comment reflects my visit in June 2025: Duck confit is still good. Oninon soup is average and crème brulée is not as good as it used to be.
